Post Production The Retouch

Just capturing an image can sometimes be enough, but in nearly all cases, the importance of quality, appropriate post production cannot be overlooked.  This doesn’t however, always mean removing reality from portraits.

Post production is a process to achieve the best possible representation of the subject in alignment with the end goal.  In some cases, this may mean gentle skin retouches, light adjustments, spot removal or color correction.  In other cases, the end goal may be a highly refined, creative image that requires extensive post production work.

I will never claim to be a photography purist, I embrace the creative freedom that comes with the term “Artist”.
